Item Description
Approx. 11x16.25" artboard has pen and ink original art by Keith Pollard and inker Gene Day for page 31 of "Thor" Vol. 1 #313, published by Marvel Comics Nov. 1981. Art is from the last page of the "Tales Of Asgard: Last Flight Of The Valkyries" back-up storyline and features five panels, showing Odin arriving on battlefield on his eight-legged horse Sleipnir, searching amongst the carnage until he finds the body of defeated Valkyrie Valtrauta. Odin swears vengeance upon Hela in last panel, raising his fist to the sky. Back has Marvel copyright inkstamp. Stamped title, inked page number and editorial notations appear at top margin, which has thin strip of masking tape. Left margin has been unevenly trimmed and upper right and both bottom corners have been clipped (not affecting art). Aged printed marks at lower left/right and along bottom margin. Artboard is Fine overall, but art remains clean and Exc. Would make for nice matted and framed display.
