Item Description
This "Variant Edition" of "Ant-Man And The Wasp" #1 was published by Marvel Comics in June 2018 w/an additional blank cardstock cover over the regular cover to allow collectors to get their favorite artist to create a cover of their own. This example features pen and ink original art by Nelson DeCastro, known professionally as Nelson, a comic book artist known for his airbrushed cover art, and his interior penciling, inking and coloring work. Nelson's career began in the early 1990s, doing cover work and publishing his creator-owned work for Dark Horse Comics, before becoming a frequent artist for both Marvel Comics and DC Comics. Art was created at the 2018 New York Comic-Con and features the MCU version of Ant-Man and Wasp, w/Ant-Man depicted in Giant-Man form, standing in front of human-sized Wasp, who stands on high rise balcony in an angry pose. Nicely detailed original art has been signed by Nelson at upper left under "Variant Edition" notation. NM.
