Item Description
Lot of 33 tin litho rings featuring comic characters, each 2-3/16" long. These rings were issued one per box of Post cereal as box inserts in 1948-1949. Lot consists of two near complete sets for the two years issued. The 1948 set included 12 rings, offered here are 10; missing only Herby and Perry Winkle. Five have backs w/1948 copyright while other five have blank backs. The 1949 set included 24 rings, offered here are 23; missing only Mac. Lot includes duplicate Casper ring w/white portrait bkg. as well as red. A few show some lt. wear/aging; most Fine to Exc. and never bent.
