Item Description
These famous cereal give-away buttons were created by the master of premiums for kids, designer Sam Gold. Millions of these 13/16" litho buttons went into post-war cereal boxes issued as five sub-sets of 18 (each sub-set including Superman) over a two year period 1945-1946 so that in the end 86 different buttons comprised a set. Some characters of note include - Blondie and Dagwood, Dick Tracy, Felix the Cat, Flash Gordon, Henry, Moon Mullins, Popeye and Olive Oyl, Little Orphan Annie, Superman, The Phantom and others. Some scattered wear, most VF to Exc. and still a very nice set overall. Comes w/Large Size Kellogg's Pep Beanie, w/intact Kellogg's label. Some general wear from storage and age, but otherwise Fine/VF. A classic set that should be in every comic fan's collection.
