Item Description
Lot of three hats featuring The Lone Ranger, issued during the 1930s through the 1940s. 6.5" dia. by 4" tall felt beanie w/two different Lone Ranger illustrations, each w/"© TLR Inc." 1938. Premium issue by Lone Ranger Ice Cream Cones. Exc. 7.75" dia. by 3" tall sailor cap. © TLR Inc. copyright below Lone Ranger portrait, which is flanked by Hi-Yo Silver!" text. Inside stamped "Small." Blue on white and came in other color varieties. Aged with two areas of oxidation on brim from staples used to hold inner cardboard together. Still VF overall. 4.25x10.75" cotton "Overseas-Type Cap" design including cotton piping. Left side features "Lone Ranger - Hi-Yo Silver!" printed text and horseshoe design w/Navy button riveted inside it as made. World War II premium, issued c. 1942. Issuer is unknown, possibly a Victory Corps premium. Rare and first we've offered in our 52 years. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
