Item Description
16" tall w/composition head, hands, boots and stuffed body. Wears cloth mask, scarf, shirt, pants. Cuffs, belt, holster are made of black oilcloth type of material. Doll wears 5.75" dia. by 2.5" tall pressed felt hat w/.5" wide paper hatband reading "The Lone Ranger" in rope style script. 3" dia. original paper string tag w/classic image of Lone Ranger and inset Tonto portrait is attached to belt. One side shows image of Lone Ranger on Silver w/round image of Tonto. Text reads "Lone Ranger Official Doll - © 1938 T.L.R. Inc." Back has Dollcraft Novelty Co. name. This doll is dressed differently than standard Dollcraft Lone Ranger dolls as this is scarce Lone Ranger Ice Cream premium. 1.25x1.5" brass star-shaped badge pinned to vest reads "Lone Ranger - Hi-Yo Silver" and features his portrait. A few pinpoint dots of aging but VF overall. Comes w/2.5" long nickel-plated cast iron gun. Clothes, hat and doll itself are all in high grade condition w/just some aging to mask's surface material. VF/Exc. overall and much nicer than typically found. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
