Item Description
12x14" die-cut stiff paper mask. Made by Einson-Freeman and issued as a Ralston premium, 1934. Front of hat shows "Tom Mix Ralston Straight Shooters" emblem. Small text along brim reads "Ralston Wheat Cereal For Tom Mix Straight Shooters." Two staples attached at either side for holding elastic string (missing). Minor aging on backside from string, but this does not affect front. 3" crease at left w/trace edge wear. Some trace residue atop upper right rim of hat, but o/w front displays bright, clean and VF. Rare as these fragile masks were easily damaged, this being among the nicest examples of the few we've offered in our 52 years. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
