Item Description
From a 1948 series of ten different watches and those characters are featured on illustrated cardboard box lid in birthday scene. Watch has 1.25x1.5" metal case, straps are vinyl-covered leather. This is Donald Duck birthday watch variety w/"Luminous" dial which still glows brightly. Dial has full body Donald image w/animated arms, his hands have glow accents. This deluxe set comes w/4" long plastic pen w/gold tone metal cap that features wrap-around Mickey Mouse decal. Some trace wear/aging, VF/Exc. Watch straps have original foil price tag w/"Ingersoll" name and noting original purchase price of "$7.95 Plus Tax." Watch is running and NM, old store stock. The same box was used for all ten watches w/inkstamp name on one side panel to designate character, this example w/"Donald Duck" name. Scattered corner tip/edge wear w/some color rubs but box remains tight and Fine. Watch is rare in this high grade condition.
