Item Description
Pair of 8x8.5x1.25" deep off-white composition frames surrounding painted cardboard bkgs. upon which are mounted two individual layers of glass that bear the images and produce a three-dimensional scene. Offered here are scene w/Wynken, Blynken and Nod from the 1938 Silly Symphony of the same name and Thumper from "Bambi" surrounded by butterflies. Backs have original paper labels explaining how Disney uses the multiplane technique to produce dimensional animation. These were produced by Courvoisier Galleries for sale as representations of the Disney art form. These are No. 6 and No. 12 in this 1940s series (both scenes are noted as being from "Bambi" though "Wynken, Blynken And Nod" was released four years prior). Backs have metal loops for hanging. Labels show moderate edge wear but fronts display Exc.
