Item Description
13.75x16" die-cut thick cardboard countertop standee w/easel back is marked "Snap-Up Display" and has 12" long die-cut stiff paper "Actual Size" pop-up airplane model attached to front. ©1938. Top has photo of aviator Earl Ortman w/"Free Air Racer - One Plane With Each Package Of Swift's Allsweet Oleomargarine" text. Product box is pictured at lower right along w/unused pricing area. Lower left corner reads "4 Different Models Boeing - Douglas - Servesky - Brewster." Attached model is very nicely detailed and includes pilot images in cockpit. Display has wear at bottom corners, o/w display is quite nice w/bright and strong color, a great three-dimensional display piece. VF. Rare. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA. Comes w/two complete thin cardboard punch-out premium sheets, both w/separate die-cut wing section as issued. Both have some loose perforations and scattered aging/wear w/one having .75" spot of glue staining. Other sheet has sections referencing Ortman and Allsweet painted over as done by premium creator Gordon Gold for another presentation and comes from the Gold Archives. Both are Fine/VF overall. Comes with Gold Archives COA.
