Item Description
1930s Spanish issue of the classic Gum Inc. card series. This is "Vol. 1 No. 1" album for cards numbered 1-48. Album is 6x10" w/16 pages for mounting cards. Front cover art is same basic Mickey image as both Gum Inc. versions of volume 1 but does differ slightly. Text at top reads "Boblero" and this is repeated on back cover along w/image of a boy blowing a bubble (again different from the US issue). All text on pages and cards is in Spanish. Otherwise the card art is identical to the Gum Inc. set. Inside cover text notes maker "T. Muller." Cover has moderate aging w/some tan staining on margins. 1" spine split at bottom, VG. Page have margin wear/aging, VF. Neatly mounted at appropriate spots are 44 of 48 cards, each 2.5x3". Missing only numbers 4,21,24,29. Cards have typical wear/aging as mounted but still display nicely w/vibrant art. Overall cards display EX to NM as mounted. Rare foreign issue, especially as a near set with album, the first we have offered in our 52 years.
