Complete set of 15 numbered cards, each 2.75x4". 1930s. Nice full color art on fronts, text backs describing that scene. Bottom portion of each back has area for issuer imprint, two have printed text "Chocolates San Fernando, Barcelona", one has ink stamp while the rest are blank. Additional text notes this is "Series A" and that there are 15 cards in the set. Set title translates as "Mickey Mouse, The Adventurous Mouse." Story is Mickey leaving home, sneaking on ship as a stowaway. He is discovered and chased by man w/axe who Mickey tricks into spraying himself in face w/hose. Stereotypical natives approach the ship in carved canoe, causing fear in the crew, natives are repelled by Mickey, who fires champagne corks at them, causing the crew to hail Mickey as a hero. Art is signed "Moreno." Moderate scattered wear/aging. Several cards w/age tone, most retain white boarders. Few scattered lt. creases. Mostly VG to VG/EX. A rare foreign card issue, first we've offered in our 52 years.
