18.5x24.25" on thin paper. Issued by the "Gastonia Joint Defense And Relief Campaign" under the auspices International Labor Defense (I.L.D.) and Workers International Relief (W.I.R.) both Communist groups working in support of imprisoned strikers. Features large group photo of workers captioned "23 Southern Textile Strikers And Organizers Face The Electric Chair- Long Prison Terms- Their Lives Are In Danger!" One vertical and three horizontal creases, a .75" vertical separation along fold at center and a tiny hole at junction affecting image. Otherwise scattered short margin tears and light wrinkling. VG. The only example we've encountered in our 52 years of this historic and rare poster.
