Item Description
3.5x7" folded mailer opening to 11x14". Front has image of Roosevelt w/text "We Want The Man Of The Hour" and  "1c Paid. Boston, Mass." at top right w/cartoon image of "Weeks" and "Crane" holding a search light at bottom right. Interior has "March 7" dated letter from "Charles S. Bird" at left and a list of seven reasons to support Roosevelt and a list of the four delegates backing him in the Primary election. Age toning most notably along folds, moderate edge and handling wear. Fine. Retains return mailing section. Rare. The Roosevelt Delegates were defeated by nearly 16,000 votes and TR saw Charles E. Hughes nominated by the Republican Party less than two months later.
