Item Description
Pair of license plate attachments produced during the 1940s. 5.75x11" painted tin features unusual car repair shop issue promoting gas conservation (an important wartime issue) by not driving over 40 MPH. Evenly aged w/some scattered dust soiling. VF. 6.25x13.5" painted Masonite has "V - Buy Defense Bonds" design and small Mobil Gas logo as it was a giveaway item. Exc. Both are rare and first we've seen in our 52 years.
