Item Description
8x14.5x2.75" thick hand-painted and padded canvas attached to wooden block mounted to original metal hinge and locking clip hardware. Pad features stereotypical depiction of Hirohito and was designed as a carnival target. 1940s. Painted pad shows even aging and has some scattered lt. wear but image remains distinct. Metal hardware shows heavy oxidation. Fine overall. First we've seen in our 52 years.
