Item Description
7-1/8x18x8.25" solid cardboard box w/photo-illustrated label contains complete parts for Remco Sears Exclusive Set No. 679, ©1967 Cambridge Publications, Inc. (though instruction sheet has 1965 copyright). Box shows moderate wear to bottom as opened and has aged strip of tape on side that continues onto label area. Box shows scattered wear to top flaps tape and side panels have glue staining from label and area of surface paper lift. Box is still Fine overall for display. This set featured more pieces than window box version (see following item), including "Seaview" submarine (complete w/both torpedoes on back and winding band), 7.75" long hard plastic free-wheeling "Monster" insect, 9.75" long blow mold plastic "Floating Whale" and two separate figures, both complete w/tabs on undersides (as made for display in box insert). Submarine shows some scattered wear/aging but sticker labels remain intact w/just lt. corner wear. VF. "Monster," whale and figures are Exc. Instruction sheet shows wear and is Fine overall. This boxed version is even more rare than the window box version.
