15.75x25.25x6.5" deep window display box contains set by Remco, ©1965 Cambridge Publications, Inc. Set No. 647 combines the Seaview Submarine and Seaview Scout window box sets. Set includes 16" hard plastic rubber band-powered "Seaview" submarine that dives, steers, surfaces, fires two torpedoes; 7.25" long "Minisled" w/two pilot figures within cockpit; 9.5" long "Sea Crawler" vehicle w/two pilot figures within cockpit; two different 2.25" tall plastic diver figures (one w/gun and one w/metal detector); as well as treasure chest and instruction sheet. Box has even moderate aging w/scattered handling creases and 1.25" to 2.5" tears at three corners of window, which has loosened but is included. Window has tape repairs to large crack along lower right margin. Trace Christmas wrapping paper attached at two spots on back of box. Box is VG/Fine overall. Instruction sheet shows handling wear/aging. VG. Rubberbands that held three vehicles and treasure chest in place have been replaced w/matching color wire ties. Submarine still has wind-up band in place. Original sticker labels intact. Contents appear unused and remain NM as packaged. This is version that comes w/die-cut cardboard octopus as part of packaging, not the Sears Exclusive version (see following item) that came w/separate octopus figure. Rare set.
