Item Description
13" tall classic doll by Ideal Novelty & Toy Co. 1940. Movable head and upper body are composition while rest is wood-jointed. Complete w/original red fabric cape, which has faded w/age as is typical. Figure has had professional restoration to head and face. Belt decal has simulated buckle on front while back features copyright/company information. This area shows some lt. edge wear to decal, but copyright text is near complete. Chest symbol decal is isosceles triangle in shape and is 100% complete. Dolls were also produced w/more equilateral triangle-shaped decals (see following item). Typical crazing to face and a neckline, but this has stabilized. Moderate crazing w/some paint loss to neckline area under cape, but not visible unless cape is lifted. Wooden segments of arms and legs show just trace wear. Still a very displayable example that stands nicely. Appearance remains Fine.
