18x23.5" mat (w/13x18" opening) has illustration board taped to back and features mixed media (watercolor and pastels) original art titled "Deco Lounging," depicting a nude female figure reclining on three level platform, one leg raised in the air. Art was created c. 1933 by Gustave Kaitz (1913-1992), considered to be the last art deco artist of the 20th century. Kaitz has a very distinct style, reminiscent of artist/designer Erté. Kaitz has signed at lower right. Art shows some lt. wear and rightmost of the levels has small and faint spot of staining, o/w art displays Exc. and is ready for framing.
