Item Description
Oversized 19x24" thin artboard has watercolor and mixed media original art for page 71 of "Penthouse Comix" #4, published by Penthouse International/General Media Communications Nov./Dec. 1994. Art is by Mark Beachum, who entered the comic book field in the early 1980s, working for DC Comics and then w/Marvel Comics, providing covers and interior art for various Spider-Man titles. In the mid-1990s Beachum began working w/Harris Publishing and also created art for "Penthouse Comix." Splash page art offered here features the Mistress Suborna Ross walking w/Roberta Lindsay, aka Backlash. Backlash debuted in this issue, and this is the first page from that story, which followed the story's title page. Backlash's breasts are fully exposed and both she and Roberta wear corsets that provide very little cover for their genital areas. Published art featured another thin panel at upper left, but this was put together at time of publishing. Artboard has 1" tear at center right margin and is Fine/VF overall w/surface paper lifts along margins at center left and across long section of bottom margin.
