Item Description
Pair of 6" tall tin litho canister banks made in England by Happynak in the 1930s. We know of four different varieties of this bank done in different sizes, all w/similar but slightly different graphics. We are offering two of the four designs, both 6" tall variety. First is Series No. 112 and depicts Mickey and Minnie Mouse standing in front of "Post Office" w/one of their nephews between them and one of Donald Duck's nephews behind Minnie. Mickey holds letter addressed to Donald in his hand. Lid is evenly aged and band shows just lt. wear in the form of a few paint nicks/scratches. .5" dent at bottom by Mickey's nephew's feet. Fine/VF. Other bank does not bear a series number and features Pluto between Mickey and Minnie instead of nephew and Mickey holds bouquet of flowers instead of letter. No Donald nephew appears on this bank. Just some lt. wear in the form of tiny paint nicks. VF overall.
