Item Description
23.25x29.25" frame w/21.5x27.75" opening. "Published By Shipman & Co. 8 Reade St. New York" and "Donaldson Brothers Five Points New York" in bottom l/r margins. Candidates portraits w/draped flags, olive branch and American shield between. By the 1880 campaign master lithographers had honed their skills evident here w/the subtle background text "Morgans Sapolio" and the razor sharp detail in the portraits. Minor handling wrinkles in l/r margins but is otherwise extremely clean. Exc. Of the few examples we've encountered most had significant staining making this a high-grade example and one of the finest display pieces from this notoriously rare Democratic ticket.
