Item Description
21-7/8x31-7/8" frame contains war poster printed by U.S. Government Printing Office, 1917. Poster features stunning art by Howard Chandler Christy (famous for his "Christy Girl" illustrations), depicting woman holding American flag as column of soldiers advance behind her. Poster was printed to support the Third Liberty Loan and features "Fight Or Buy Bonds - Third Liberty Loan" text. Poster has heavy horizontal crease at center as issued and shows scattered handling wear w/two edge tears at top center w/visible backing tape repair. Poster has been professionally framed under Tru Vue Conservation Glass and has not been removed for inspection. Displays Fine as framed. Mike Nichols Collection.
