Item Description
Pair of license plate attachments dating to 1939-1940. 5.25x7" shield-shaped pressed tin litho attachment features "Keep U.S. Out Of War - Be Neutral" text (see following lot). Scattered wear to raised rim, VF overall. Circular 4" dia. tin litho attachment w/"Aid The Allies Now - Defend America" text. There were several versions of this slogan produced as buttons promoting aid to the European countries fighting Germany, but this is the first we've seen of this rare license attachment in our 52 years. Moderate wear to attachment tab but circular portion shows just lt. wear and displays VF.
