Item Description
19.5x29.25" poster features stunning image of tattered, battle worn Polish flag w/"Poland - First To Fight" text as designed by Marek Zulawski, a Polish expressionist and graphic artist from the Academy of Fine Arts of Warsaw, who permanently settled in London in 1936. Poster was issued in England during the early days of World War II, shortly after England declared war on Germany due to their invasion of Poland. Poster has been rolled and shows scattered margin wear and handling creases. Fine overall, but would display nicely if framed.
