Item Description
17x24.75" frame w/15.25x23.25" opening. Text below candidates has McKinley July 12, 1900 quote "The American Flag Has Not Been Planted In Foreign Soil To Acquire More Territory But For Humanity's Sake." Vignettes at left include: "Gone Democratic" w/closed factories; "A Run On The Bank" w/panicked public heading towards a bank and starving prisoners, victims of "Spanish Rule In Cuba." Vignettes at right include: "Gone Republican" w/booming factories, steamships and locomotives; "A Run To The Bank" w/the public depositing their savings and a teacher in a Cuban "Public School" and industrious Cuban farmers in the field under "American Rule In Cuba." One each vertical and horizontal folds w/tiny hole at center junction. VF. Not examined out of frame. Vivid color and high detail make this one of the most striking 1900 campaign posters.
