2-1/8" reads "Committee To Defend Martin Luther King Jr. Support Student Sit-Ins." Tan stain on last "d" of "Defend" but rest is Exc. N.G. Slater on curl. 1960 defense fund raising button from committee of New York's Martin Luther King Friends who raised money after King's arrest on Alabama state tax evasion charges.
