Item Description
Vintage 11x14" mat has 8x10" certificate taped to back. Printed stat features mixed media original art illustration of egg below "The Good Egg Award" title, noting Caniff received "The Attractive But Useless Certificate" for "His Contribution To The Maintenance Engineer, Corps Of Engineers, U.S.A." Certificate is dated Sept. 1944. Moderate margin aging to mat and certificate has some dust soiling but VF overall and would look nice framed. An unusual and one-of-a-kind Caniff item.
