Item Description
Original illustrated box contains 8.25" long cast iron cap gun by Kenton, 1938. Box features photo of Gene Autry and features "Patterned After The Original Six Shooter Of Public Cowboy No. 1" text. Box has all four inner flaps loose, two are included and two are missing. Box shows moderate wear w/heavy creasing to side panels. VG overall. This is the first Gene Autry cap gun, and features black finish w/red "Gene Autry" name on white pearlized plastic grips. Raised Autry name on both sides of gun frame under cylinder. "Kenton Toys - Made In USA" text on interior under bullet "chamber." Some oxidation to hexagonal grip nut, but o/w gun is unfired and NM.
