19x25.5" nice quality stiff paper poster from 1950 Quaker "Puffed Wheat/Rice" dog-naming contest features classic image of Sgt. Preston and Yukon King w/facsimile signature at bottom and small  "Challenge Of The Yukon Inc." copyright. Margins of poster have lt. even aging and show some scattered edge wear. VF. Scarce. Comes w/original cardboard mailing tube which has Preston image and typed recipient name/address label. Both mailing labels show aging/wear as does tube, which is Fine overall. Tube is very rare, and is the only surviving example known to us. Both poster and tube are the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA. Lot also includes 3.25x5.5" postcard w/matching Preston illustration. Text includes thank you for contest entry and mention of Quaker Cereals. Postcard is evenly aged and shows minor corner tip wear. VF. A much sought-after Sgt. Preston premium.
