Item Description
10.75x19.75x8" illustrated cardboard box contains 17" long hard plastic helicopter toy for use w/the Spanish Madelman 6" tall action figure line (which was similar to Mego, w/removable clothing/outfits). Made in Spain by Madel (Manufacturas Delgado or Delgado Manufacturing), ©1979 DC Comics. Box features graphics from "Superman: The Movie," featuring Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder and Gene Hackman. Main box panel art replicates famous scene from movie where Superman saves Lois Lane from falling helicopter. Box is complete w/cardboard insert and comes w/illustrated instruction sheet demonstrating trigger-driven spinning helicopter blades (which are collapsible) and unused Superman "S" symbol sticker sheet. Box shows some lt. scattered wear in the form of color rubs and one corner edge has 1.5" split w/tape repair. Box still displays nicely and is Fine overall. Toy features Superman "S" symbol stickers on cockpit as well as on gas can behind cockpit, as issued. Toy shows little to no wear and is in working order. NM, old store stock. While the Madelman Superman figures are scarce, this toy is very rare and is the first example we've ever offered.
