Item Description
"Og, Son Of Fire" first appeared in "Boy's Life" magazine in Dec. 1921 and went on to star in his own CBS radio show 1934-1935 as well as appearing in a series of books that lasted until 1965. Offered here is a lot of 12 items issued 1935-1936. All but BLB are premiums issued by Libby's Milk, sponsor of the radio program. Lot includes - near set of five painted metal figures w/four metal-lidded mailing canisters. Figures are Og, Nada, Ru, Big Tooth and Three Horn. Missing Rex. Canisters have varying handling wear/aging and most are Fine overall. Figures show just lt. wear and are VF to Exc. overall. Comes w/rare Libby's paper that came w/Og figure. Folded as mailed and evenly aged. Fine. 15x19.5" nicely detailed paper "Adventures Of Og, Son Of Fire Adventure Map" has color-coded start/end points for journeys and features character illustrations at corners. Folded as issued w/corner tips missing and even aging. Small split at center fold crease intersection w/some scattered staining on back. Good.
