Item Description
7/8" w/W&H back paper. Additional text "Republican City Committee" above an unusual right facing portrait of Coolidge. Light wear only in reflected light. Exc. displaying Mint. Only the third example we can recall encountering in our 52 years. An impressive 1924 rarity from Coolidge's home state. Coolidge studied law in Amherst, MA and started his practice in Northampton. His political rise through the state starting at as a member of a local Republican Club is most impressive and included stints at: City Council, City Solicitor, County Clerk, Chairman of the local Republican Party organization, State Legislature, Mayor of Northampton, State Senator, Lieutenant Governor and then Governor before being selected as Harding's VP and ascending to the Presidency.
