Item Description
4" long miniature three-dimensional replica of a crocodile made of luminous plastic. Finely detailed body covered in scales, large oval eyes and jaw line accented w/sharp teeth. Top of the back has three small holes and when blowing air into the mouth, a high pitched whistle is produced which can be varied some by placing fingers over one or more of the holes. This was a General Mills test premium from 1941, which was only offered through two Minnesota radio stations. General Mills recorded only 809 requests and today we know of only four examples extant, and this example was obtained from a General Mills Archives auction. One of the most desired and elusive rarities in the hobby of radio premium collecting. High grade, NM example which still glows brightly.
