Item Description
"Secret Agent X-9" was a comic strip created by "The Maltese Falcon" author Dashiell Hammett and "Flash Gordon" artist Alex Raymond. Syndicated by KFS, it ran from Jan. 22, 1934 until Feb. 10, 1996. The strip was later adapted for radio and film. Offered here is lot of six pieces from the 1930s. 1-5/8" tall "Secret Agent x-9 - Albany Time Union" membership badge and pair of membership cards (both bearing "Boston American") badge imprint; scarce pair of 1.5" dia. cello buttons by Bastian Bros. (both open back pinback and covered tin back versions); 8x18-1/8" movie herald features photo images of stars as well as images of Raymond "Secret Agent X-9" comic strips. Folded as issued w/scattered handling wear. Fine overall. Membership cards have been neatly filled out in ink and are VF overall. Buttons are glossy and Exc. Badge shows surface wear and is Fine/VF.
