Item Description
Chick Carter (son of sleuth Nick Carter) was promoted by a radio drama program 1943-1945 as well as a Columbia movie serial in 1946. Very little merchandise was produced, all of it being rare today. Offered here is lot of six items from the "Chick Carter Inner Circle" club, issued 1944-1945. 1944 items include 2.5x4-1/8" membership card (w/neatly inked name) that explains use of insignia to leave codes/signals. Card has some lt. even aging and scattered handling wear. Right edge has been trimmed. Fine. Comes w/typed slip mentioning Chick Carter's fingerprinting instructions would be in upcoming issue of "Shadow Comics" and upcoming Chick Carter back-up feature in "Shadow Comics" #35. Scattered handling wear w/crease. Fine. Full sheet of unused insignia stickers is Exc. aside from vertical fold at center. 4.5x7" folder opens to 9x14" and has neatly inked recipient name/address. Folder opens to reveal slots holding unused 2-1/8x3.75" 1945 membership card. Folder also serves as welcome letter and has tips for organizing local club as well as including membership certificate. Folded as mailed w/staple holes. VF overall w/NM card. 4x10" promotional mailer opens to 10x16" and features photo images of radio show performers and mentions Inner Circle club as well as including membership card to cut out. Folded as to be mailed (unused), folder shows moderate handling wear w/folds and some small splits. VG/Fine. All are rare and are the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
