Item Description
Pair of unused file copy cereal box flats, both featuring cut-out Howdy Doody (and others) character masks that were issued on backs of Kellogg's boxes in 1954. 12-7/8x18-5/8" 9.5 oz. size "Rice Krispies" flat has Howdy Doody mask. Even moderate aging. Flat is folded along center scored line, and is o/w an unused file copy. VF. 9x13-1/8" Canadian "Rice Krispies" flat features "The Indian Princess" mask, who is clearly Prince Summerfall Winterspring, just renamed for Canadian consumers. Exc. Both are rare as box flats. Oversized die-cut 12x15" retailer's promotional paper mask bears Kagran copyright and was issued in 1953. Some lt. scattered handling wear. VF/Exc. Rare. Mask and box flats are all actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA. Lot comes w/"Rice Krispies" box back that features slightly different text/image. Uneven margins as cut from box and scattered moderate aging. VG/Fine and just comes along.
