Item Description
Large 2.25" dia. cello pinback button w/classic image of Mickey Mouse in orange shorts and waving a greeting w/one hand. Small text below image reads "Copy. 1928-1930 By W.E. Disney." The earliest movie theater clubs elected an officer slate headed by children dubbed "Chief Mickey Mouse" and "Chief Minnie Mouse." Buttons were produced for these and a few other offices such as this "Master Of Ceremonies." All are quite rare as only one was produced per officer for the very limited number of mostly West Coast theaters that were sponsoring a Mickey Mouse Movie Club in 1930. See next item from same series. Button displays just lt. surface wear that is mainly only visible in reflected light. Retains deep color and button is not faded. Glossy and Exc. Rare and the only example of this rank button we've seen in our 52 years. An incredibly rare and desirable Mickey Mouse button.
