Item Description
"The Brownie Rubber Stamps" set comes in 5.5x8.5x2-58" deep wooden box w/illustrated label on sliding lid. Made by the Brownie Rubber Stamp Co. of Ironton, OH, 1890s. Set includes 19 wood-handled rubber stamps of varying sizes, each featuring a single Brownie in various sizes. Two have small flakes to rubber portion, removing feet of one Brownie and tip of finger to another. Stamps show obvious wear from use and have ink staining to rubber as well as some scattered inking to grips. Comes w/partial unlined tablet, which has several stamps scattered on it. Stamps are Fine overall. Box has 2.5" and 4.5" long edge slivers off top, but lid still slides in place. Label is aged and shows scattered wear. VG overall. Scarce.8-1/8x9-5/8" wooden frame has illustrated label featuring various Brownies including Uncle Sam and Policeman. Generic educator sheet w/alphabet and illustrations under glass. Early 1900s. Frame has original wood backing and shows even aging w/some scattered edge wear. Fine/VF. Both are the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
