Item Description
10-3/8x13.5" stiff paper folder features photo image of "The King Of The Cowboys - Roy Rogers" riding Trigger and notes "Voted The Top Western Star For The 8th Straight Year." Folder was issued in 1951 to promote the "Roy Rogers" daily strip/Sunday page (which ran 1949-1961). Folder features promotional text inside w/Roy and Trigger illustrations w/reprint strip at bottom. Back reprints four of Al McKimson's daily strips. Horizontal fold at center as issued and shows wear. VF overall. Limited distribution, mainly sent to newspaper editors. Rare and first we've offered in our 52 years. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
