Original cardboard shipping carton contains inner cardboard packaging/case (complete w/"Zap" logo) that holds high quality slipcase holding five hardcover volumes, comprising "The Complete Zap Comix." This historic edition collects every issue of "Zap," every cover and every story, even the "Zam" mini-comic jam. It also includes the 17th unpublished issue as well as an introduction by founder Robert Crumb and an oral history of "Zap" by Patrick Rosenkranz. Includes "Zap" artists like R. Crumb, Victor Moscoco, S. Clay Wilson, "Spain" Rodriguez, Gilbert Shelton, Paul Mavrides, and Robert Williams. Also included exclusively in this boxed set is a portfolio of "Zap" covers, replicated from high resolution scans and proofs, and specially printed for this edition on acid-free, 100% cotton fine-art paper utilizing archival pigment inks. Shipping carton shows typical lt. wear and has moderate surface paper lifts to top flaps as opened. Fine/VF. Inner cardboard shows some lt wear as well and is VF. Slipcase and hardcovers remaining NM as packaged. The definitive collected "Zap," the historic underground comix series.
