Item Description
1.25" w/"Baldwin & Gleason Co. NY" on stud back. Robert Charles Davey rides Bryan's coattails that features additional text "10th Ward 2nd Cong. District." Most likely from Davey's victorious 1896 LA Congressional campaign. A tiny chip of missing cello on curl at 11 o'clock not visible from front. Otherwise only light surface wear. Technically VF but displays Exc. A remarkable coattail rarity that we can only recall encountering on one other occasion in our 53 years. An amazing survivor given the cello devastating Southern climate where it was originally distributed and the untold travels over the last 125 years.
