Item Description
Each 1.25". First is 19th century style Santa smoking a clay pipe with "A Merry Christmas" printed on his smoke cloud as if it were a cartoon balloon. No maker name, back paper or sponsor's name but c. 1920. Reverse has very narrow .25" long sliver of missing cello by the collet as made. Front displays Mint. Second curl names maker Brown & Bigelow, St. Paul. Front names Hampton, Iowa store. Good bit of surface scratching seen in reflected light but not deep enough to be visible otherwise. Great color and gloss on both buttons.
