Item Description
1.25" likely from the first or second year of Bastian Bros. button business which they entered upon with the purchase of F.F. Pulver in March, 1905. Reverse has our first seen back paper with message "There Is/Good Cheer In/Ye Olden Tyme Bread/The Bread Of Quality" with tiny text below "Bastian Bros. Rochester, N.Y." (no union bug). We've  seen this Santa before but always with a red background, never cream. Santa's jacket is more brown than red and decorated in straps of jingle bells. Over his shoulders are toy animals, a doll, a toy soldier and at very top left a yellow monkey stick climbing toy (also see next Santa). Reflected light reveals some very light center area scratches but button has high gloss and is Exc. displaying Mint.
