Item Description
Lot of five 7.5x8" storybooks, each w/12 to 14 pages (not counting cardstock covers and record sleeve) and sleeve containing translucent blue-disc records w/batsymbol. Published solely for the Japanese market in 1966, given the depiction of TV's Batman and Robin on covers of two. Interior pages have specialty art, some w/cut-outs on inner flaps. One has loose cover w/3.25" split and moderate oxidation staining to interior spine area. Good/VG. Rest shows some scattered handling wear including some creases and corner tip wear. Fine to VF overall. Records are Exc. overall. Of note, one also features monsters from Japanese Ultraman precursor, "Ultra Q." An instant collection of Japanese Batman items. From the collection of Chip Kidd, renowned author, graphic designer and pop culture enthusiast extraordinaire.
