Item Description
9.5x14.5x3.25" deep box w/display lid contains complete 11-piece ceramic set by Wadeheath, c. 1938. While most 1930s Disney tea sets came in generic boxes, this box features images of Mickey and Minnie Mouse having tea (using tea set w/their images on it) as Pluto watches. Side panels feature additional Disney character illustrations and has worn Wadeheath label on left side panel. Box shows obvious wear w/majority of lid loose, lid having glue repairs to tears. Box exhibits moderate corner tip/edge wear and is VG. Box is scarce. Die-cut cardboard insert holds set consisting of 3" tall tea pot w/lid featuring Snow White and Dopey, creamer w/deer, open sugar bowl w/rabbit, four tea cups featuring Bashful, Happy Grumpy and Sneezy and four plain 3-7/8" dia.  saucers. Wadeheath/Disney/England markings on underside of each piece. Some lt. rim accent paint wear and typical crazing to cups, but images remain complete and set is VF to Exc. overall.
