Item Description
Illustrated box contains 6" tall tin litho toy w/built-in key. 1950s. ©KFS. Nicely illustrated lid features Popeye on top skating by Olive Oyl. Two side panels show Popeye, Olive and Swee'Pea skating by Poopdeck Pappy. Box shows corner tip/edge wear and even aging, w/.25 and 1" edge tears to lid. Box is Fine overall and retains its shape for display. Toy depicts Popeye on roller skates and holding plate w/can of spinach up in the air. Complete w/metal rod stem and wooden bowl pipe. Synthetic fabric pants show very slight age fading; much nicer than typically found. Some scattered tiny paint nicks, but still bright and glossy. Toy works and he skates about while changing direction every so often. Fine/VF. Classic Linemar Popeye toy.
