Item Description
7.5x11.5x2.5" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid originally contained "Betty Boop Milk Nut Frappe" candy bars by Schutter-Johnson Candy Corporation of Chicago-Brooklyn. ©1931 Fleischer Studios, Inc. Main lid panel features great full body image of Betty w/her name in large text, lower corner noting original 5¢ purchase price for candy. This image is repeated smaller on left/right side panels while top/bottom side panels feature different images, showing great scene w/Betty and Bimbo in horse-drawn cart, Betty reaching back w/candy bar for Koko the Clown. Curiously, Betty is depicted as a blonde. Box shows some even aging and some scattered general wear w/one lid corner split and heavy corner crease w/1" corner split. Fine overall. Rare and just the second example we've offered in our 53 years.
