Item Description
Original illustrated box contains 12.5" long tin litho train w/built-in key. Marx and Linemar made this toy over a 10 year period w/numerous variations of engines in tin and plastic, different names, different box art/box styles etc. Almost all had Marx markings. Offered here is the short run train made in Japan by Linemar, 1950s. Unique design box features great Disney graphics and bears Linemar name. Top main panel of box has two .5" to .75" spots of surface paper lifts while opposite main panel has .5x1" stain on Big Bad Wolf image. Box has all over age spotting and corner tip wear. VG overall. Train features Linemar markings and has "Disneyland" name on each of the three passenger cars. Mickey Mouse and Goofy man the locomotive while Mickey and Minnie Mouse, their nephews, Donald and Daisy Duck, their nephews, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale appear in windows. Dumbo appears on back of train. Toy exhibits little to no wear and is bright, glossy and NM. Working.
